From May to September in Georgia the coffee side of our menu goes quiet and the cold side does the work. Three things get confused constantly, so here is the difference and who reaches for what.
Snowballs
Shaved ice with flavored syrup. Light, cold, no dairy, and the loudest thing on our menu with anybody under twelve. Strawberry, blue raspberry, cotton candy, tiger’s blood and mango. At a pool party or a school festival, snowballs outsell everything else combined, and the kids watch them being made at the window, which is half the appeal.
Frappes
Blended iced coffee — thick, sweet, and still caffeinated. This is the adult cold drink. Frappes are what a parent orders while their kid is having a snowball, and what an office crowd switches to after eleven in the morning.
Smoothies
Blended fruit, no coffee, no dairy required. Smoothies are the one that satisfies the group nothing else on a catering menu usually does: people who do not drink coffee, kids too old to want a snowball, and anyone coming out of a workout or a wellness event.
And shakes and coolers
Milkshakes are the indulgent one and go straight to birthday parties. Iced fruit coolers are the lightest thing we make and the safest bet in real heat, when people want cold and wet more than they want sweet.
What real heat does to an order
Above about ninety degrees the pattern shifts again: people stop ordering sweet and start ordering wet. Coolers and plain iced drinks climb, milkshakes drop off, and second orders go up because everyone comes back sooner than they would in May. If your event is in July, plan for people ordering twice, not for a fancier menu.
Nobody wants to choose
The truck carries all six categories at every event, so a mixed crowd never has to be split into a coffee table and a kids table. That matters more than it sounds at a family event, where the whole point is that everybody stands in the same line.
How to pick for your event
Split it by crowd, not by season. Kids present? Snowballs and shakes. Adults in the sun? Coolers and frappes. Mixed family event? All of it, which is why the truck carries every category at once rather than making you choose. Browse the full menu and tell us your crowd on the booking form.
